Gunman robs Dollar General at Tri-State Mall

CLAYMONT, DELAWARE (9/18/2015) The Dollar General store at the Tri-State Mall was robbed at gunpoint Thursday, the Delaware State Police reported this morning.

The robbery at 333 Naamans Road happened about 8:50 p.m.

The robber, using a handgun, demanded two employees – a 50-year-old man and a 24-year-old woman – turn over cash from the register and safe.

They complied, and he fled. The employees were not injured, police said.

The robber was described as black, about 5-feet-6, 145-165 pounds with average build and dark complexion. He was wearing a grey hooded sweatshirt and sweat pants. Police said he had his face covered.
