Dollar General store in Ogletown robbed at knifepoint

OGLETOWN, DELAWARE (9/6/2015) A knife was used to rob a Dollar General store in Ogletown late Saturday, according to Delaware State Police.

The robbery happened about 10 p.m. as a male with a knife confronted two employees in the store at 20 Salem Village Square shopping center and demanded cash about 10 p.m.

The employees — a 57-year-old woman and a 22-year-old man– opened the register and the robber removed cash, then fled toward Chapman Road.

The employees were not hurt.

The robber was described as white, about 5-feet-10 and 130-150 pounds. He was wearing a dark hooded sweatshirt, blue jeans and had a bandanna covering his face.
