Demand rejected, Dollar General robber flees

OGLETOWN, DELAWARE (8/24/2015) A robber fled empty-handed when two employees at a Dollar General store refused his demand for cash, Delaware State Police said this morning.

The robbery attempt was reported at 9:48 p.m. Sunday at 20 Salem Village Square.

The robber was described as white, 5-feet-4 and wearing a blue hooded sweatshirt, jeans, black sneakers and a mask.

He confronted a 30-year-old man and 21-year-old woman working at the store, demanding cash from the registers, police said.

Neither complied and he was last seen running toward Chapman Road.

No one was injured.
