28-year-old man charged in 3 Rehoboth-area robberies

REHOBOTH BEACH, DELAWARE (9/5/2015) A 28-year-old Lewes-area man has been charged in three robberies in the Rehoboth Beach area, Delaware State Police said this morning.

Anthony Lynch was arrested Friday at his home on Wil King Road by state and Rehoboth police in connection with a purse snatching at the Tanger Outlets on Route 1 north of Rehoboth on Tuesday, a robbery on Delaware Avenue in the city on Sunday and a robbery inside the Walmart at the Rehoboth Mall on July 15.

Lynch was charged with two counts of second-degree robbery in the crimes in state police jurisdiction and was being held at Sussex Correctional Institution near Georgetown in lieu of $8,000 secured bail. Rehoboth police also had a warrant for Lynch charging him in the crime in their jurisdiction.
