UPDATED STORY: Third suspect arrested

REHOBOTH BEACH, DELAWARE (8/21/2015) Two people have been arrested and a man is being sought in connection with a home invasion robbery near Rehoboth Beach, according to Delaware State Police.

The incident happened about 12:20 a.m. Tuesday in the 37,000 block of Washington St., just west of Route 1.

Police said a 27-year-old man and a 23-year-old woman were watching a movie inside the home when two men entered and demanded money, threatening with a hammer.

The 27-year-old victim cooperated and turned over undisclosed items and the intruders fled on foot. No one was injured.

Police said the 23-year-old woman initially gave a false name but was later identified as Cory A. Bynaker, 23, of Smyrna, who is wanted by Smyrna police.

Detectives determined that Bynaker knew the two intruders and she was a participant in the home invasion, police said. The other two suspects were identified as Christopher M. Bacon, 36, of Smyrna, and Mark T. Jenkins Jr., 24, of Clayton.

Bynaker was charged with first-degree robbery, possession of a deadly weapon during commission of a felony, home invasion, burglary, aggravated menacing, wearing a disguise during commission of a felony, conspiracy, terroristic threatening, theft and criminal impersonation. She was being held at Baylor Women’s Correctional Institution near New Castle in lieu of $100,000 cash bond.

Bacon was arrested by Clayton police on Tuesday at a home in the first block of Cardington Court in Clayton. He was turned over to state police and charged with first-degree robbery, possession of a deadly weapon during commission of a felony, home invasion, burglary, aggravated menacing, wearing a disguise during commission of a felony, conspiracy, terroristic threatening and theft. He was being held at Sussex Correctional Institution near Georgetown in lieu of $175,000 secured bond.

State police obtained a warrant for Mark Jenkins on the same charges as Bacon. Police said Jenkins also is wanted on several warrants from courts in Kent County.

Jenkins is described as about 5-feet-8 and 150 pounds, with blue eyes and black hair. He is believed to be in the Smryna-Clayton area.

Anyone with information on Jenkins is asked to contact Detective J. Jones at 302-752-3795.
