24-year-old man shot in Dover

DOVER, DELAWARE (7/7/2015) A 24-year-old man was shot Monday night in Dover, city police reported this morning.

The shooting happened about 9:30 p.m. in the first block of N. New St., Master Cpl. Mark Hoffman said.

Officers found the victim lying in the roadway with a wound to his upper left thigh and a large cut in his forehead.

He was taken by ambulance to Bayhealth Kent General Hospital and was in stable condition, Hoffman said.

Police were searching for a suspect described as a black male about 5-feet-11 with average build and wearing black clothing.
