Wilmington shooting victim dies; suspect identified

WILMINGTON, DELAWARE (4/19/2015)  A 38-year-old Wilmington man who was shot on Tuesday has died of his wounds, city police announced this morning, and a suspect has been identified.

Deshannon Reid succumbed to his injuries at Christiana Hospital, where he had undergone surgery after the shooting about 9:45 p.m. in the first block of W. 27th St.

He had been shot in the lower back and buttocks and underwent surgery, police said.

Police have a warrant for Damian Thomas, 38, of Wilmington, but have been unable to locate him despite executing numerous search warrants.
