WILMINGTON, DELAWARE (4/18/2015) The family of 17-year-old Deshon Tyreice “Poppy” Sellers, who was shot to death in February on Wilmington’s East Side, and other victims’ families rallied today for peace in the city.
Lanita Brooks, mother of Sellers, who was shot at 24th and Carter streets two blocks from her home, and her twin sister Sharita Sewell have been pushing for changes in policing and policy to avoid further violence.
