Gunshots critically wound man in Wilmington

WILMINGTON, DELAWARE (4/15/2015) A 38-year-old man was wounded by gunfire in Wilmington on Tuesday night, according to reports from the scene.

The shooting happened about 9:50 p.m. in the first block of W. 27th Street, in the area of Moore Street.

City police arrived to find the man down on the sidewalk, with wounds to the lower back and buttocks.

He was treated at the scene by New Castle County paramedics and taken by ambulance to Christiana Hospital.

Police said he went into surgery and was in critical condition.

Police asked anyone with information on the shooting to call Detective T. Curley at 302-5760-3625.
