SMYRNA, DELAWARE (4/30/2018) One person was found dead after fire swept through a home south of Smyrna on Sunday, authorities said.
The blaze in the 200 block of W. Big Woods Road was reported at 12:53 p.m.
Firefighters from Citizens Hose Company found flames pouring from the structure when they arrived.
Investigators from the Delaware state Fire Marshal’s Office are trying to determine how the fire started, said Michael G. Chionchio, assistant state fire marshal.
He said there were no smoke alarms in the home, which he described as a house trailer.
Damage was estimated at $20,000.
No other injuries were reported.
