25-year-old man shot to death in Wilmington; 2nd in critical condition

WILMINGTON, DELAWARE (11/20/2017) A 25-year-old man was shot to death in Wilmington on Sunday evening, city police said.

About 7:24 p.m., officers responded to West Third and North Franklin streets, where gunshots had been reported.

The victim was found with a gunshot wound to the neck area, police said.

Officers performed CPR but he died while being taken by ambulance to Christiana Hospital in Stanton. Police have not released the man’s name.

About the same time, a 24-year-old man with a gunshot wound arrived by private vehicle at St. Francis Hospital in Wilmington. Police said the man suffered wounds to his legs and rear torso and was in critical condition.

Police said there may be two male suspects who were wearing dark clothing.
