Teenage girl shot in leg at Wilmington playground

WILMINGTON, DELAWARE (10/15/2017) A 15-year-old girl was shot in the leg at a Wilmington playground this afternoon, according to reports from the scene.

The shooting happened about 5:30 p.m. in the 600 block of Pine St.

The girl was taken by ambulance to Nemours/A.I. DuPont Hospital for Children in Rockland. Wilmington police said she was wounded in the left ankle and was in stable condition.
