WSFS bank branch robbed; Wilmington police charge suspect

WILMINGTON, DELAWARE (10/3/2017) City police captured a suspect after a WSFS bank branch was robbed on Monday.

The armed robbery happened about 3:20 p.m. at 211 N. Union St.

The suspect was taken into custody some time later when police stopped all traffic on West Fourth Street near North Van Buren Street and found him in a car.

Vernon Montgomery, 36, of Wilmington, was charged with first-degree robbery, possession of a firearm during commission of a felony and wearing a disguise during commission of a felony.
