ODESSA, DELAWARE (8/14/2017) An 18-year-old Townsend man has died of injuries received in a motorcycle crash south of Odessa last week, the Delaware State Police reported today.

The crash happened about 7:20 p.m. Friday on U.S. 13 (DuPont Parkway) at Chestnut Lane.

Police said the victim, Josiah W. Wible, died Saturday at Christiana Hospital.

Wible was northbound on a 2005 Kawasaki motorcycle at high speed, police said, when he collided with the rear passenger door of a southbound 2007 Toyota Corolla that was making a U-turn to go north on U.S. 13. Wible was ejected from the bike and landed on the roadway.

The driver of the car, a 43-year-old Townsend man whose name has not been released by police, brought the Corolla to a stop after the collision. He was not injured.

Police are still investigating the crash and no charges have been filed.
