Pedestrian killed in Dunleith hit-and-run

NEW CASTLE, DELAWARE (5/7/2017) A 52-year-old man died after he was struck by a hit-and-run vehicle early today in the Dunleith community near New Castle, the New Castle County police said.

The pedestrian collision happened about midnight in the area of Anderson and Morehouse drives.

Police found the victim in the roadway with severe injuries. He was taken by ambulance to a hospital where he was pronounced dead.

His name has not been released.

Investigators determined the vehicle that fled was a light-colored sedan.
