Woman seriously injured in Naamans Road crash

BRANDYWINE HUNDRED, DELAWARE (4/9/2017) A woman was trapped in her car for 40 minutes this morning when it struck a utility pole along Naamans Road, according to reports from the scene.

The crash happened in the westbound lanes about 6:45 a.m. near the Brandywine Town Center.

After she was freed by Talleyville firefighters, the woman, 49, was treated at the scene by New Castle County paramedics.

She then was flown by Delaware State Police helicopter to Christiana Hospital in Stanton in serious condition.

She was the only occupant of the vehicle.
