(Photo: Delaware Free News)ELSMERE, DELAWARE (3/1/2017) A fire that caused $100,000 damage in a vacant three-story apartment building in Elsmere late Tuesday night has been ruled arson, the Delaware state Fire Marshal’s Office said.

The blaze at the Fenwick Apartment complex in the 1300 block of Maple Ave. was reported just before midnight.

Flames were showing when Elsmere firefighters arrived, and it took 40 minutes to bring the fire under control.

More than a half dozen New Castle County fire companies responded.

No injuries were reported.

Michael G. Chionchio, assistant state fire marshal, asked anyone with information on the fire to call the Fire Marshal’s Office at 302-323-5375.
