GEORGETOWN, DELAWARE (11/4/2016) A former assistant principal at Banneker Elementary School in Milford has been acquitted of sexual molestation charges, according to reports from the trial.
A Superior Court jury on Thursday found Edward S. Husbands, 46, not guilty of three counts of unlawful sexual contact.
He had been arrested in June 2015 and accused of molesting three of his daughter’s friends during a sleepover at his home.
Earlier in the trial, Judge E. Scott Bradley had thrown out charges of offensive touching and sexual abuse by a person in a position of trust, saying the prosecution didn’t have sufficient evidence.
