UPDATED STORY: Police arrest Wilmington man in Wilton shooting
NEW CASTLE, DELAWARE (10/31/2016) A 43-year-old man was wounded in a shooting in the Wilton community west of New Castle this afternoon, authorities said.
The shooting was reported about 3:30 p.m. at Revelle and Baylis streets.
The victim was given first aid at the scene and then taken by ambulance to an area hospital. He was listed in stable condition, said Officer First Class John-Paul Piser of New Castle County police.
Detectives are investigating and Piser asked anyone with information on the shooting to call police at 302-573-2800.
