NEWARK, DELAWARE (10/4/2016) An Exxon gas station was robbed at gunpoint near Newark early today, Delaware State Police said.
The robbery at 263 E. Chestnut Hill Road happened about 12:25 a.m.
A male employee complied with the robber’s demands and turned over cash from the registers. The robber then fled across Route 72 (South Chapel Street).
No one was injured.
The robber was described as a white male, 5-feet-9 to 6 feet, and about 170-190 pounds. He had his face covered.
