3 sought in carjacking at restaurant near Wilmington

WILMINGTON, DELAWARE (8/16/2016) Police are looking for three men involved in a carjacking in front of Lucy’s Restaurant just outside the Wilmington city limits.

The crime happened late Sunday morning when a 38-year-old man was entering the car, which was parked outside the restaurant at 3840 N. Market St.

Three men approached and the victim got out of his car to confront them, Delaware State Police said.

Two of the men then got in his car and drove off, and the third fled in another vehicle.

The victim wasn’t injured, police said.

The stolen car was found by Wilmington police a short time later in the 500 block of E. Fifth St.

No one has been arrested and state police asked anyone with information to call troopers at 302-365-8566.

The suspects were described as black, 20-25 years old, about 5-feet-9 and with black hair and brown eyes. One was wearing a red, white and blue shirt.
