Milford police seek tips after SUV hits garage, injures woman

UPDATED STORY: Milford police charge Dover woman in hit-and-run crash

MILFORD, DELAWARE (5/5/2016) Milford police are asking for tips from the public to find the driver in a hit-and-run crash early today that seriously injured a woman in her garage.

The accident was reported at 1:38 a.m. on North Sagamore Drive in the Hearthstone Manor community.

An older, dark sport-utility vehicle struck the garage, pushing the wall into a 66-year-old woman inside, Sgt. Robert Masten said.

The woman was taken to Bayhealth Milford Memorial Hospital by Carlisle Fire Company ambulance and was in serious condition but her injuries are not life-threatening, Masten said.

The driver of the SUV was described as having shoulder-length brown wavy hair and may be female, Masten said.

The SUV had a partial Delaware registration of PC 198.
