2 brothers sought on theft charges

MILFORD, DELAWARE (2/5/2016) Two brothers from Milford are being sought on theft charges by Delaware State Police, who asked for the public’s help in finding them.

Matthew A. Meding, 26, is wanted on two second-degree burglary charges and numerous counts of theft and criminal trespass related to a rash of car break-ins near Lincoln in early November. He also is sought in a Frederica-area burglary where a 66-year-old victim’s credit card was taken and $5,000 in cash withdrawn, police said.

Joshua W. Meding, 24, removed golf cart batteries from a home in the Lincoln area and sold them to a salvage yard, police said, and faces charges of theft by false pretense, falsifying business records and selling stolen property. He also is wanted on two warrants from Sussex County Court of Common Pleas.
