DOVER, DELAWARE (2/2/2016) A Wawa convenience store near Dover was robbed at gunpoint early this morning, Delaware State Police said.

The robbery happened about 4:25 a.m. at 1525 E. Lebanon Road (Route 10).

The robber pointed a handgun at a 20-year-old woman working at the counter and demanded cash from the register. She complied and the robber fled southwest toward the Planters Run development.

The robber was described as a black male, about 5-feet-10, wearing a dark sweatshirt, dark pants, black gloves and black shoes.

Police released surveillance images from the store and asked anyone with information to call Detective M. Weinstein at 302-698-8443.
