The robbery in the 1100 block of Delaware St. happened about 3 p.m. Sunday, Senior Lt. Adam P. Brams said.

He said the robber first placed an order, then said he had to go home and get money.

The man left but returned a short time late, handed money to pay for the order but when the clerk opened the register, he displayed a gun and demanded money, Brams said.

The employee handed over cash and the robber fled toward condominiums on West 11th Street.

The robber was described as a black male wearing a black hoodie covering most of his face and blue jeans.
