Pizza deliveryman assaulted, robbed in Dover

DOVER, DELAWARE (11/8/2015) A pizza deliveryman was punched in the face and thrown to the ground when he was robbed by two men Friday night, Dover police reported this morning.

The robbery happened about 8;45 p.m. at the Lake Club Apartments, 400 N. DuPont Highway (U.S. 13).

The deliveryman had just dropped off an order to an apartment when he was assaulted, Master Cpl. Mark Hoffman said.

Police said the victim described both robbers as men in their 20s. One was white with dark hair. The other was black with a dark hooded sweatshirt with a checkered pattern on the hood and blue Nike shoes.

Hoffman asked anyone with information to call police at 302-736-7111.
