Market robbed at gunpoint on Kirkwood Highway

UPDATED STORY: Another armed robbery at First State Market

ELSMERE, DELAWARE (10/8/2015) Delaware State Police are looking for a gunman who robbed the First State Market west of Elsmere.

The robbery at 2501 Kirkwood Highway happened just after 7 p.m. Tuesday.

The robber, armed with a handgun and wearing a mask, demanded the male clerk turn over money from the cash register. He complied and the robber fled. No one was injured.

The robber was described as white, 5-feet-6 to 5-feet-9 and about 150 pounds. He was wearing a black hooded sweatshirt, blue jeans and black sneakers.
