Woman charged in drug sales near Seaford

SEAFORD, DELAWARE (10/7/2015) A 47-year-old woman was arrested on charges of selling drugs from her home east of Seaford, the Delaware State Police reported.

Bonnie L. Cannon, 47, was taken into custody Tuesday at the home in the 24000 block of Concord Pond Road.

Police said a search found 24 grams of cocaine, .2 grams of crack cocaine, 44 grams of marijuana and a .38 caliber handgun that was reported stolen from a Millsboro home in January.

A 30-year-old woman and a 2-year-old girl also were in the home but the woman was not charged. The child, who police said is legally in the care of Cannon, was turned over to the 30-year-old.

Cannon was charged with possession with intent to deliver cocaine, possession of a controlled substance (cocaine), possession of a deadly weapon by a person prohibited who also possesses a controlled substance, receiving a stolen firearm, possession of marijuana, endangering the welfare of a child and possession of drug paraphernalia.

She was released on $30,300 secured bond and ordered to have no contact with the 2-year-old.

Police said the arrest was made after a two-month investigation into drug sales at the home.
