Armed man robs Dollar General store in Red Lion

RED LION, DELAWARE (6/12/2015) A masked, armed man robbed a Dollar General store in Red Lion on Thursday, Delaware State Police reported today.

The crime happened about 10:35 a.m. at 1605 Red Lion Road.

The gunman demanded a 24-year-old employee turn over cash from the register, and she complied.

The robber then removed cartons of cigarettes from a display and fled. The clerk wasn’t hurt.

The robber was described as white, 5-feet to 5-feet-4 and 140-160 pounds. He was wearing a teal shirt, black pants and black boots.
