Police identify bicyclist critically injured near Newark

NEWARK, DELAWARE (8/31/2015) Delaware State Police have identified a 25-year-old man who was critically injured when he crashed his bicycle while riding down a hill near Newark.

The incident happened about 3 p.m. Sunday on Paper Mill Road west of Limestone Road.

Police said Di Ha of Newark fell onto the shoulder of the road and struck his head. It wasn’t known if he was wearing a helmet.

Ha was treated on the scene for a head injury and facial cuts, said Sgt. Michael McColley of New Castle County paramedics. He was then flown to Christiana Hospital by a Delaware State Police helicopter.
