27-year-old man shot in Wilmington in stable condition

WILMINGTON, DELAWARE (8/7/2015) A 27-year-old man was wounded by a gunshot in Wilmington this afternoon, according city police.

The incident happened shortly beforeĀ 3 p.m. in the 2400 block of Carter St.

Police said the victim suffered a wound to his left elbow area.

He was treated at the scene by New Castle County paramedics and taken to Christiana Hospital in stable condition.

Police are still investigating and asked anyone with information to call Detective J. Merced at 302-576-3620.
