2 shot in Wilmington; 1 in critical condition

WILMINGTON, DELAWARE (7/18/2015) Two men were shot in Wilmington this afternoon, and one of them is in critical condition, city police said.

The incident was reported at 4:41 p.m. at Concord Avenue and Washington Street.

When officers arrived, a 27-year-old man was found inside the Sharman Mini Market with gunshot wounds to his torso and leg areas.

A 36-year-old man was found in the 2200 block of Washington St., with a gunshot wound to the neck area, police said.

Officers provided aid until New Castle County paramedics arrived.

The 27-year-old was taken by Delaware State Police helicopter to Christiana Hospital and was in critical condition, police said.

The 36-year-old was taken by ambulance to Christiana and was in stable condition.

Police are still investigating and asked anyone with information on the shooting to call Detective Pete Leccia at 302-576-3647.
