MILFORD, DELAWARE (6/30/2015) Two Dover men were arrested by Milford officers who drove by shortly after a 67-year-old man was punched and robbed, city police said Monday.

The robbery happened Friday night in the 300 block of N.E. Front St.

Hah-Keam Earle, 22, and Darren Tolson, 20, were both charged with robbery, possession of a deadly weapon during commission of a felony, conspiracy, assault, and criminal trespass.

Police said the pair approached the victim, who was on foot, and asked him for money. When he refused, Detective Dwight Young said, they punched him in the face.

The victim had no cash but turned over personal property, Young said, and the pair then fled on foot.

As the officers on patrol noticed the pair running, the victim approached and told the officers he had been robbed at gunpoint, Young said.

Earle and Tolson were taken into custody without incident.

The officers recovered a Glock-style BB gun and a plastic toy gun, Young said.

Both men were being held at Sussex Correctional Institution near Georgetown in lieu of $43,501 secured bond.

The victim suffered minor injuries to his face and mouth but declined medical treatment, Young said.
