WILMINGTON, DELAWARE (5/29/2015) A 19-year-old man was wounded by a gunshot this morning, Wilmington police said.
The incident happened about 5:30 a.m., when police were called to a home in the first block of S. Broom St.
The man was treated on the scene by New Castle County paramedics for a single gunshot to his left leg.
He was then taken by ambulance to Christiana Hospital in stable condition, police said.
The preliminary investigation indicates that the wound was self inflicted and accidental, police said.
