Motorcyclist, 47, dies after U.S. 9 crash

DSP logoGEORGETOWN, DELAWARE (5/22/2015) A motorcyclist involved in a crash with a pickup truck on U.S. 9 southwest of Georgetown earlier this week died early today of his injuries, Delaware State Police said.

Eduardo Adrian Giorgi, 47, of Salisbury, Maryland, was pronounced dead about 4:30 a.m. at Christiana Hospital.

He had been ejected from the bike when it was struck by a pickup at the western Asbury Road intersection about 7:40 a.m. Tuesday.

The driver of the pickup, Joseph Rose,. was treated at Nanticoke Memorial Hospital for minor injuries and released, police said.

No charges have been filed and police are still investigating the incident.
