UPDATED STORY: Victim identified
CHESWOLD, DELAWARE (4/30/2015) A pedestrian was killed in a vehicle crash this morning on U.S. 13 north of Cheswold, Delaware State Police said.
The accident happened about 4:50 a.m. just north of the southern end of Messina Hill Road.
Southbound traffic on U.S. 13 (North DuPont Highway) was diverted onto the northern end of Messina Hill Road until the lanes were reopened about 9:45 a.m., police said.
The name of the victim has not been released.
