Cash taken in Dover apartment burglary

DOVER, DELAWARE (1/6/2015) Cash was taken in a burglary at the English Village apartment complex, Dover police said.

The burglar climbed a fire escape to enter an apartment at Dover Hall about 7:50 p.m. Saturday.

A neighbor spotted the burglar before he fled after hearing a noise, describing him as about 5-feet-7 and with average build. He was wearing a black hooded sweatshirt, blue jeans, boots and fingerless gloves.

Another male nearby may have been acting as a lookout, Cpl. Mark Hoffman said. He was described as 5-feet-7 and with average build. He was wearing a dark hooded sweatshirt, jeans and bright white sneakers.

Hoffman asked anyone with information to call police at 302-736-7111.
