UPDATED STORY: Homicide sets Wilmington record
WILMINGTON, DELAWARE (12/19/2014) City police are investigating a shooting this evening.
It happened about 10:30 p.m. at Vandever Avenue and North Spruce Street.
The victim, a 43-year-old man, was treated on the scene by paramedics and was in critical condition after being taken to Christiana Hospital, said Sgt. Michael McColley of New Castle County paramedics.
According to reports from the scene, the man suffered a gunshot wound to the upper torso.
Police have not released details on the incident.
