GREENWOOD, DELAWARE (5/23/2015) Delaware State Police have released surveillance photos of a suspect in the theft of a wallet east of Greenwood and are asking for the public’s help to identify him.

The wallet was reported stolen earlier this month by a 62-year-old man working at a job site near Judy Road and Beach Highway (Route 16).

The victim didn’t discover it was missing for a couple of days, police said, and notified his credit-card company and Social Security.

He was then informed the card had been used for two transactions and  his Social Security card had been used by someone attempting to buy a vehicle.

Police did not disclose the location the surveillance photos were taken but they are time-stamped 6:37 p.m. on May 9.

The suspect was described as a while male, about 5-feet-8 with brown hair and a large tattoo on the inside of his left forearm. He was wearing a black, white and red striped shirt, black and white baseball hat, blue jean shorts and high-top sneakers.

Anyone with information is asked to contact Trooper Logue at 302-232-3466.

Tips also may be submitted anonymously through Delaware Crime Stoppers, which offers rewards, at 800-847-3333 or www.delaware.crimestoppersweb.com.
