NEWARK, DELAWARE (5/23/2015) A pedestrian was struck by a car in Newark early today, authorities said.
The accident happened about 1:50 a.m. in the 600 block of S. College Ave.
The victim, a 36-year-old man, was treated on the scene and then taken by ambulance to Christiana Hospital, said Cpl. Abigail E. Haas of New Castle County paramedics.
The man suffered scrapes to his upper extremities as well as possible head and internal injuries, Haas said.
Newark police are investing the incident.
