NORTH STAR, DELAWARE (6/6/2016) A crash with an overturned dump truck took out al utility pole and caused power outages this morning, according to reports from the scene.
The crash happened on Corner Ketch Road between Karrington Drive and Doe Run Road shortly after 10 a.m.
A 69-year-old man driving the truck was taken to Christiana Hospital for treatment.
Hockessin Fire Company responded, along with Delaware State Police, DelDOT and Delmarva Power crews.
Delays are possible in the area as the poles are repaired and the wreckage removed.
Delmarva Power reports more than 1,000 customers out in the area, with service expected to remain out until as late as 4 p.m.
