WILMINGTON, DELAWARE (11/1/2005) Two people were shot this evening in the 700 block of E. 10th St. in Wilmington, according to city police.

The shootings happened about 6:15 p.m., with a 46-year-old woman  running to the 900 block of Spruce St. with a gunshot wound to her face.

A 42-year-old man wounded in his arm ran into the 1,000 block of Spruce.

Both were treated at the scene by New Castle County paramedics and taken by ambulance to Christiana Hospital in stable condition.

Multiple shell casings were visible in the street.

Police said their investigation is in its early stages and they asked anyone with information to call Detective Don Palmatary at 302-576-3654.
