16-year-old boy in critical condition after Wilmington shooting

WILMINGTON, DELAWARE (2/9/2018) A 16-year-old boy was in critical condition this afternoon following a shooting, Wilmington police said.

The shooting was reported about noon in the 200 block of W. 23rd St.

Police said the 16-year-old was wounded in his rear torso.

He was treated at the scene by New Castle County paramedics, then taken by ambulance to Christiana Hospital in Stanton.

Police asked anyone with information on the shooting to call Detective Steven Bender at 302-576-3621.
