26-year-old man killed in crash

DAGSBORO, DELAWARE (2/3/2018) A 26-year-old Seaford man was killed Friday night when his car crashed and overturned west of Dagsboro, the Delaware State Police said.

The crash was reported at 9:53 p.m. on Nine Foot Road (Route 26) a half mile west of Revel Road.

Police said  Jesse J. Hendrix was driving a 2015 Dodge Dart eastbound at high speed and lost control of the car on a curve. The car first went off the south edge of the road, he then over-corrected and went off the north side and into a ditch, overturning multiple times before coming to rest on the roof in a field.

Hendrix was pronounced dead at the scene. Police said he wasn’t wearing a seat belt.

No one else was in the car.

Nine Foot Road was closed about 2.5 hours as police investigated and the wreckage was cleared.
