Man in critical condition after Wilmington shooting

WILMINGTON, DELAWARE (9/28/2017) A man walking in the 1000 block of N. Pine St. was shot twice late Wednesday night and is in critical condition at a hospital, Wilmington police said this morning.

The shooting was reported at 11:06 p.m.

The 25-year-old victim suffered wounds to his left thigh and rear, lower torso.

He told police he heard gunshots and started running away when he realized he had been shot.

New Castle County paramedics treated the man at the scene and he was then taken by ambulance to Christiana Hospital, police said.

Police said they had no suspect information, and they are looking for witnesses and surveillance video.
