3 wounded in Wilmington shootings

WILMINGTON, DELAWARE (7/31/2017) A woman and two men were wounded in separate shootings in Wilmington on Sunday night.

City police said the first shooting happened about 8:20 p.m.  The 35-year-old man who was wounded in the right hip was found in the 2300 block of N. Pine St.

He was treated at the scene by New Castle County paramedics and taken by ambulance to Christiana Hospital in Stanton. Police said he was in stable condition.

The man had been walking along the street when gunfire erupted. Police said they had no suspects and asked anyone with information to call Detective Jamie Tobin at 302-576-3643. 

At 9:48 p.m., a Shot Spotter alert sent officers to the 2300 block of N. Locust St., and the victim was found at 23rd and Bowers streets, The 29-year-old woman was wounded in her left arm. She was treated by paramedics and taken to Christiana Hospital in stable condition. Police asked anyone with information to call 302-576-3620.

Around midnight, a 25-year-old man suffered multiple gunshot wounds to the back in the 400 block of Townsend St., according to reports from the scene.
