LITTLE HEAVEN, DELAWARE (7/29/2017) A robber fled with cash from a Valero Shore Stop gas station and convenience store in Little Heaven, the Delaware State Police reported this morning.
The robbery happened about 2:45 p.m. Friday at 7865 Bay Road (Route 1).
“The suspect approached a store employee at the counter and asked to purchase some cigarettes. The suspect then provided the clerk with money for the cigarettes, but once the employee opened the register he implied he had a weapon and demanded all the money from the till. The attendant complied with the demand and turned over an undisclosed amount of cash. The suspect then exited the store and fled in a southerly direction. The clerk was not injured,” Master Cpl. Gary Fournier said.
The robber was described as a black male with a beard, 5-feet-9 to 5-feet-10 and wearing a black sweatshirt.
