4 injured in Wilmington shooting

WILMINGTON, DELAWARE (7/29/2017) Four people were injured, one critically, in a shooting in Wilmington late Friday night, city police said.

The shooting was reported at 10:43 p.m. in the 400 block of N. Washington St.

Officers found a 26-year-old man suffering from gunshot wounds to his abdomen and arm and rendered first aid.

Emergency medical units and New Castle County paramedics treated the man and he was taken to Christiana Hospital in Stanton in critical condition, police said.

Officers found three other victims with apparent gunshot graze wounds or injuries from debris from the shooting.

A 33-year-old woman with a graze wound to the neck was found inside a vehicle parked in the 400 block of N. Washington St. She was treated by paramedics and taken to Christiana Hospital in stable condition, police said.

A 35-year-old man found outside the vehicle suffered an apparent graze wound to his upper left arm. He was treated by paramedics and taken to Christiana in good condition.

A 40-year-old man with graze wounds to his right arm and right eye was found inside a home in the block. He was treated and taken to Christiana in good condition, police said.
