Man wounded in Wilmington shooting

WILMINGTON, DELAWARE (7/17/2017) A 37-year-old man was wounded in his right hip and foot in a Wilmington shooting Sunday night, city police said.

The shooting happened about 10 p.m. at Seventh and Monroe streets.

The victim was walking when two youths passed him on foot, then one fired a handgun.

The wounded man flagged down a passing vehicle, which took him to Wilmington Hospital. Police said he was in stable condition.

Police were still searching for the suspects, and asked anyone with information to call Detective Jordan Merced at 302-576-3639.
