19-year-old Delaware man killed in Maryland motorcycle crash

ELKTON, MARYLAND (7/13/2017) A 19-year-old Delaware man was killed when his motorcycle collided with a car on U.S. 40 (Pulaski Highway), the Maryland State Police said.

The crash happened about 3:50 p.m. Wednesday at Maloney Road.

The man killed was identified as Nicolas Ambrosino of New Castle.

Police said he was driving a 1994 Honda motorcycle eastbound on U.S. 40 when the bike collided with the driver’s side of a 1990 Cadillac sedan that was attempting to cross the highway from Maloney Road.

Ambrosino was pronounced dead at the scene.

The driver of the Cadillac, whose name wasn’t released, was flown to Cowley Shock Trauma Center in Baltimore with injuries that police said were not life-threatening.

U.S. 40 was closed at the intersection about three hours as police investigated.
